Pre Operative Clinic Print E-mail
Before going into hospital for your Lumbar Spine Surgery, Joint Replacement Surgery, it is recommended that you attend a pre operative clinic appointment with a Physiotherapist.

The Physiotherapist will provide you with information about your operation and what to expect afterwards.  You will have the opportunity to practise the exercises that you will need to do before and/or during your hospital stay.   They will also answer any questions you might have and help you organise any specialised equipment you may need and determine whether you would benefit from an Occupational Therapy home visit.  By attending the pre operative clinic before you go into hospital for your operation you will have time to take it all in and as you may be less apprehensive, we generally find that patients retain more information.
