If you are a Physiotherapist, you could work across our clinics, Hospital and Community and Vocational Rehabilitation services depending on your career goals, interests, and previous experience.

Our Physiotherapists enjoy working across a range of contracts such as the Pain Management Service, Training for Independence, Escalated Care Programme, etc.

Some of our clinic-based therapists also get to work across clinic and community services based on the type of referrals we receive. For a Physiotherapist working across Hospital and Community and Vocational Rehabilitation services, you get an opportunity to provide rehabilitation support in a variety of community and workplace settings.

Generally, roles in Vocational Rehab (Well at Work) and Hospital and Community (Rehab at Home) services offer more flexibility to complete administration and documentation tasks from home. Our clinic based Physiotherapists, also enjoy reasonable autonomy with workload management to achieve work life balance.

Our core workforce consists of Occupational Therapists who pre-dominantly work in various workplace settings and community. Occupational Therapist’s in larger regions such as Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch report to the Regional Managers of the Well at Work and Hospital and Community services. Occupational Therapists in other regions work alongside the clinic nearest to their location. The Regional Managers of these services work collaboratively with the clinical teams. Having a good oversight and transfer of information is top priority keeping with our multidisciplinary approach.

Our Psychologists work alongside the clinic-based services. They deliver psychology support across a diverse range of contracts including the ACC Pain management service, Training for independence service, as well as private insurers and employer services. Our Psychologists are an integral part of our well-developed and experienced multidisciplinary team.

They work with a diverse range of clients across the lifespan of their injuries and clinical presentations, such as persistent pain, adjustment to physical injury, anxiety, low mood, trauma, and relationship difficulties. The role involves completing psychological assessments, providing evidence-based psychological input, and communicating with the team to help our clients make the most out of their lives.

On a typical day you will see yourself carrying out thorough assessments and make recommendations with sound clinical reasoning. You will provide written and verbal summaries of assessments, with clear treatment goals and rationales. You will provide effective psychology treatment to TBI Health clients and work collaboratively with members of the multidiciplanary team.

Since joining TBI, Tamara has been supported to achieve her doctorate qualification. Her energy and drive to succeed sees her involved in providing supervision and mentoring support and is also part of TBI Health’s training team.

Our Hand Therapist workforce has grown rapidly and continues to flourish.

We are continually looking to grow our nationwide network of Hand Therapists. To be a Hand Therapist at TBI Health, you could be an existing Hand Therapist or a qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with an interest in pursuing a career in this area. We provide full support with training and upskilling in this area.

Hand Therapists work closely within our MDT service alongside Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, and Specialists. They have the opportunity to work within a variety of contracts including Hand therapy, Escalated Care Program, Return to Work program, Pain, Training for Independence contracts and Early Intervention.

At TBI Health we have several administrative roles available. Clinic Administrator and Contracts Administrator make up most of our Administrative roles. All Administration roles require applicants to have a good standard of computer skills.

Clinic Administrator

As a Clinic Administrator, you will be a key part of our Clinic based services. This is a frontline customer facing role which offers a lot of variety. Welcoming patients, diary management, providing administrative and operational support to the clinic, answering queries from referral sources and patients, invoicing contracts, purchasing clinic supplies, administration of ACC, Insurer, and third-party admin contracts are some of the cool things you get to do as a Clinic Administrator at TBI Health. To be successful, you will be someone who is people oriented, can multi task, and be able to show self-initiative.

Contracts Administrator

As a Contracts Administrator, you will work within our nationwide Contracts Administration team which oversees all clinical contracts and continuously works on improving our contract administration processes. This role can offer reasonable flexibility with working. To be successful in this role, you will be someone who is able to work autonomously and be exceptional at time management, prioritisation, and have excellent attention to detail. Previous experience with ACC can be advantageous.

Southern Cross Healthcare Joint Venture

We have formed a joint partnership with Southern Cross Healthcare to expand our wide range of rehab services including; sports injury management, post-surgical rehabilitation, vocational and pain management programmes.

We also hold rehabilitation contracts with ACC, third party insurers and private employer groups. In addition, our staff are affiliated with local and national sports teams.
