Hauora Connect

Ka pō, ka ao, ka awatea

This whakataukī refers to the transitional and transformative journey from darkness (ka pō) to light (ka ao) then onwards to a new dawn (ka awatea).

This encapsulates the journey that TBI health are commencing, to ensure Māori receive equitable, accessible, high quality health and rehabilitation services that reflect their cultural needs.

We can support you with

As a Hauora Connect Champion, you support clinic and service managers in delivering on our Māori Health equity pillar of TBI strategy,  specifically in your region. This will pull from wherever your strengths lie, whether that is in training, whakawhanaungatanga with local Māori organisations and iwi, or creating resources internally within TBI to uphold cultural safety
