Integrated Care Pathways (ICPMSK) information for patients
Integrated Care Pathways Musculoskeletal (ICPMSK) is a fully funded service for eligible ACC patients recovering from specific knee, shoulder, or back injuries. We provide tailored support through our integrated team of TBI Health health professionals, ensuring you receive the right care at the right time to get you back on track.

As part of the service, you will have access to a ‘Navigator’ to help guide you through the rehabilitation process.
Triage assessment
Before starting, you will have an initial assessment with one of our trained team. Our triage assessors will assess your injury, diagnose your current problem and work with you to determine the level of care you require.
The treatment plan
Following the triage assessment, we will work together to determine which health professionals are best suited to help with your recovery. We will also keep your GP in the loop so everyone is on the same page.
Return to work
Work is an important part of everyone’s life. Research shows that the sooner you are back to work safely after an injury, the better your overall recovery is. We may not be able to get you back to work right away, but we can usually find strategies to get you back to work in a safe way. We also work with your employer to make the transition back to work easier to manage.
Specialist support
If surgery is the best option for you, we can support you through the entire process. From specialist assessment, though surgery and you post-operative care to ensure you get the best possible outcome.
How to make an appointment
To book an appointment with one of our Physiotherapists to see if you are eligible for ICPMSK, make a booking online at your local clinic, or call us on 0800 824 432.
If your specialist referred you and you qualify for ICP, there will be no charge for your initial consultation. If you were referred differently, there might be a small fee for the first consultation.
We also welcome all GP and specialist referrals.
Access for health providers
As part of ICPMSK, we are testing a unique treatment stream called the Monitored Care pathway. The pathway will enable external health providers to refer their clients to the service, become part of the overall inter-disciplinary team and receive funding and rehabilitation support for your clients.
